6,000-year-old Himalayan sky map depicts the earliest image of Supernova

Nearly 6,000 years ago, ancient people witnessed a supernova and carved what they saw on stone.

Have you ever thought about what would happen if ancient mankind spotted a very bright object in the night sky around 6,000 years ago? They’d probably think of it as an extreme, even perhaps a divine sign, and make sure to record what they had seen through their favorite, and perhaps only artistic medium: a stone.

Now, researchers say that that’s exactly what they have found in the Himalayan mountains.

According to archaeologists, an enigmatic stone found the Himalayan territory of Kashmir may represent the oldest depiction ever found on Earth of a supernova.

Ancient Sky Map
Seen here is a copy of the stone carving superimposed on a sky map of HB9’s region. The newly published study on the drawing proposes that the object on the left is the supernova and the one on the right the moon. Image Credit: Tata Institute for Fundamental Research.

According to scientists, the Supernova was visible with extreme brightenss—just like the moon—around 3,600 BC.

They believe that ancient mankind witnessed the event, and decided to depict what they had seen on a stone.

The site where the stone is located is believed to date back to 2100 B.C.

The ancient scene depicted thousands of years ago shows two bright objects in the sky, with figures of animals and humans beneath them.

Astrophysicist Mayank Vahia studied the stone and went on to discard several options. For example, he believes that the image does not show two suns or the sun and the moon at the same time. Eventually, he reached the conclusion that ancient mankind must have depicted a supernova, one that exploded relatively close to our solar system, and that could have been as bright as the moon in 3,600 BC.

However, Vahia needed evidence that a supernova was actually visible on Earth between 4100 B.C. and 2100 B.C.

Luckily, Vahia scoured astronomical records of ancient supernovae for one which may match the one depicted by ancient man thousands of years ago and found one.

Supernova HB9 is believed to have been visible on Earth around 3,600 B.C. with a brightness that can be compared to that of the moon.

“We suggest that this is not a terrestrial hunting scene but is actually a sky-map giving the location of prominent constellations and the moon on the day the supernova was first observed,’ write the researchers, who superimposed a sky map of the HB9’s region on the ancient drawing and found notable astronomical clues. The image of one of the hunters coincides with the Orion; the central stag is same as the Taurus.”

“The hunter on the right may have been formed from stars of Cetus and other animals on the right may be Andromeda and Pegasus. The long, curved line in the carving, traditionally interpreted as a spear, may well be an arc of bright stars.”

Qin Shi Huang—the first Chinese Emperor who searched for the Elixir of Life

Like many others before and after him, the first emperor of unified China, Qin Shi Huang, wanted to live forever.

According to a set of recently discovered ancient texts, 2,200 years ago, the emperor issued an administrative order to seek for a potion that could grant him eternal life, reports the Xinhua news agency.

Qin Shi Huang was born in 259 BC, and by the time of his death, in 210 BC, he had conquered the six disputed kingdoms of China and managed to create a unified nation of which, obviously, he was proclaimed emperor.

As noted by scholars, during the reign of Qui Shi Huang, bamboo strips were a common writing material.

In 2002, more than 36,000 of bamboo strips containing ancient calligraphy were discovered in an abandoned well in the central Chinese province of Hunan.

The discovery was of great importance and historical value.

Zhang Chunlong, a researcher from the Hunan Institute of Archeology, analyzed 48 of these strips and discovered among them, a decree where the emperor ordered a search for potions that would grant him eternal life.

Experts note that; “It required an extremely efficient administration and a considerable enforcement to pass such a decree in ancient times when transport and communication were extremely underdeveloped.”

Scholars explain that the search for the Emperor’s elixir of life reached the borders of the empire.

The bamboo strips offer evidence of the unusual order and various details.

The ancient documents mention a town called “Duxiang” where “no miraculous remedy had been found,” but it implied that “searches were continuing.”

Another locality, referred to as Langya, in the present province of Shandong “alluded to a plant harvested in a sacred mountain” that might have been what the emperor was searching for.

Before the discovery of the Bamboo stripes, scholars already had an idea of Qin Shi Huang’s obsession with immortality.

According to Chemistry World, the emperor thought that consuming cinnabar, composed of 85% mercury and 15% sulfur, would prolong his life.

Ironically, and as expected, it did the opposite killing him at the age of 49.

Despite the fact that, the emperor did not discover the elixir of life, he equipped himself extraordinarily well for the afterlife: he was the emperor who had the underground mausoleum of Xian built in the north of the country, with 8,000 Terracotta warriors whose mission was to protect him in the afterlife.

His eternal resting place was a supermassive subterranean mausoleum that has never been excavated by experts.

Ancient records suggest that the underground palace has a roof that imitates the starry night with pearls and diamonds like stars and rivers of mercury.

These are the 5 ancient Tibetan Rites—the elixir of life and secret of the fountain of youth

The Five ancient Tibetan Rites allowed a Chinese man named Li Ching Yuen to prolong his life and live for 256 years.

The human body is way more complicated than you’ve probably ever imagined.

Above our physical, material, body made of flesh and bone, there is a vital energy that Hindus call prana.

In Hindu philosophy including yoga, Indian medicine, and martial arts, Prana comprises all cosmic energy, permeating the Universe on all levels. Prana is often referred to as the “life force” or “life energy”. It also includes energies present in inanimate objects.

The so-called prana circulates throughout the body through a series of different channels, which in India are called nadi. It is only normal to think that our physical body will feel better or worse depending on the energy that circulates through it.

The chakras are energy centers where this energy is concentrated.

It is evident, therefore, that in order for our body to remain healthy and of youthful aspect, these chakras are balanced and that the energy circulates through them effortlessly.

In other words, improving our energy allows our body to improve.

Ancient Tibetan Monks, who unsurprisingly know a lot about Chakras and Pranas, have their own system that allows them to balance the chakras in order to maintain a good health.

In the West, this system is described as rites, or more specifically “the five Tibetan rites of eternal youth”.

The Five Tibetan Rites are also referred to as “The Five Rites”, “The Five Tibetans” and “The Five Rites of Rejuvenation”.

The title may seem too sensationalistic but the truth is that Tibetan monks maintain a youthful aspect despite potentially harsh conditions where they live. Some Tibetan monks live on altitudes of more than 4,500 meters.

The Five ancient Tibetan Rites are described in the book “Ancient Secret of Fountain of Youth” by Peter Kelder which summarizes a set of exercises called “5 Tibetan Rites” that, apparently, allowed a Chinese named Li Ching Yuen to prolong his life and live for 256 years.

Li Ching Yuen, who died in the 1930s, after apparently after losing the will to live and having survived 26 wives, was awarded twice by the Chinese government.

On one occasion after his 100th birthday, and on a second occasion, after his 200th birthday.

Li Ching-Yuen or Li Ching-Yun, who was a Chinese herbalist, martial artist, and tactical advisor is well known for his supposed extreme longevity.  Li supposedly produced over 200 descendants during his lifespan.

The article “Tortoise-Pigeon-Dog”, from the 15 May 1933 issue of Time reports on his history, and includes Li’s answer to the secret of a long life:

  • Keep a quiet heart
  • Sit like a tortoise
  • Walk sprightly like a pigeon
  • Sleep like a dog

The 5 Tibetan Rites

The exercises of the Five Tibetan Rites can be attempted by following the instructions below:

First Rite:

Tibetan Rites 1

“Stand erect with arms outstretched, horizontal with the shoulders. Now spin around until you become slightly dizzy. There is only one caution: you must turn from left to right.”

Second Rite:

Tibetan Rites 2

“Lie full length on rug or bed. Place the hands flat down alongside of the hips. Fingers should be kept close together with the finger-tips of each hand turned slightly toward one another. Raise the feet until the legs are straight up. If possible, let the feet extend back a bit over the body toward the head, but do not let the knees bend. Hold this position for a moment or two and then slowly lower the feet to the floor, and for the next several moments allow all of the muscles in the entire body to relax completely. Then perform the Rite all over again.”

“While the feet and legs are being raised it is a good idea also to raise the head, then while the feet and legs are being lowered to the floor lower the head at the same time.”

Third Rite:

Tibetan Rites 3

“Kneel on a rug or mat with hands at sides, palms flat against the side of legs. Then lean forward as far as possible, bending at the waist, with head well forward—chin on chest. The second position of this Rite is to lean backward as far as possible. Cause the head to move still further backward. The toes will prevent you from falling over backward. The hands are always kept against the side of the legs. Next come to an erect (kneeling) position, relax as much as possible for a moment, and perform Rite all over again.”

Fourth Rite:

Tibetan Rites 4

“Sit erect on rug or carpet with feet stretched out in front. The legs must be perfectly straight — back of knees must be well down or close to the rug. Place the hands flat on the rug, fingers together, and the hands pointing outward slightly. Chin should be on chest — head forward.”

“Now gently raise the body, at the same time bend the knees so that the legs from the knees down are practically straight up and down. The arms, too, will also be vertical while the body from shoulders to knees will be horizontal. As the body is raised upward allow the head gently to fall backward so that the head hangs backward as far as possible when the body is fully horizontal. Hold this position for a few moments, return t the first position, and RELAX for a few moments before performing the Rite again.”

“When the body is pressed up to complete horizontal position, tense every muscle in the body.”

Fifth Rite

Tibetan Rites 5

“Place the hands on the floor about two feet apart. Then, with the legs stretched out to the rear with the feet also about two feet apart, push the body, and especially the hips, up as far as possible, rising on the toes and hands. At the same time the head should be brought so far down that the chin comes up against the chest. Next, allow the body to come slowly down to a ‘sagging’ position. Bring the head up, causing it to be drawn as far back as possible.”

“The muscles should be tensed for a moment when the body is at the highest point, and again at the lowest point.”

Scientists who used cosmic ray-based scanning technology detected a large mysterious “cavity” inside the Great Pyramid of Giza.

The mysterious space, 20 meters long, is located just above the Grand Gallery, and it is the first large structure discovered since the 19th century inside the pyramid, which is believed to date back around 4,500 years.

The Dead Sea Scrolls—the 12th cave

Researchers announced in 2017 the discovery of a series of jars, wrappings, and ties related to the Dead Sea Scrolls (the manuscripts that include the oldest known copies of biblical texts) in a cave, the twelfth of the Qumran caves near Qumran, Israel.

“This exciting excavation is the closest we’ve come to discovering new Dead Sea scrolls in 60 years,” said Hebrew University archaeologist Oren Gutfeld, director of the excavation.

Two sunken cities

Researchers came across more than 400 strange structures which date back thousands of years in Saudi Arabia.

It is believed that the ancient stone structures—dubbed as Gates by experts—could go be around 7,000 years old. Their purpose remains a mystery. Some of these “gates” are located next to a volcanic dome that at one time spewed out basaltic lava.

The Antikythera wreck

Antikythera bronze arm
The bronze arm recovered at the site of the shipwreck.

The Antikythera shipwreck yielded more fascinating discovers as researchers discovered a vast array of relics and an arm of a bronze statue. This is quite a find as experts say that bronze statues are among the rarest artifacts from ancient times. What makes this discovery even more fascinating is the fact that the arm fragment does not match any statue bodies discovered to date, which brings us to the question: Where’s the rest of the statue?

The Oldest Pottery fragments in America

Ancient Texts: A massive underground world exists beneath the Pyramids of Giza

Is there really an underground world beneath the Pyramids of Giza?

If we take a look at ancient texts written thousands of years ago, we find incredible details of a long-lost world hidden beneath our feet.

As if the Pyramids at the Giza plateau and the Sphinx weren’t fascinating enough on their own, there are numerous accounts of secret tunnels, passageways, and chambers located beneath the Giza plateau. Some of these chambers are said to date back more than 15,000 years.

It is a massive underground world, kept away from society, hidden from history books.

In fact, the entire region of Memphis (Giza) is said to be covered by underground chambers, and secret rooms.

Not far from Giza, at Fayum Oasis Herodotus once described the existence of an incredible Labyrinth which according to his writings was “an endless wonder to me.”

This ancient labyrinth was, according to Herodotus of impressive size, and contained up to 1500 rooms, and subterranean chambers which were back then already off limits.

This ancient structure left Herodotus awestruck, and he was compelled to write about it:

“…There I saw twelve palaces regularly disposed, which had communication with each other, interspersed with terraces and arranged around twelve halls. It is hard to believe they are the work of man, the walls are covered with carved figures, and each court is exquisitely built of white marble and surrounded by a colonnade. Near the corner where the labyrinth ends, there is a pyramid, two hundred and forty feet in height, with great carved figures of animals on it and an underground passage by which it can be entered. I was told very credibly that underground chambers and passages connected this pyramid with the pyramids at Memphis…”

Herodotus even wrote about a massive multi-level megalithic complex beneath the Pyramids at Giza, said to have been at least 15,000 old. Interestingly, quite a few authors supported Herodotus’ writing s about underground passages connecting major pyramids.

pyramids
What secrets are hidden beneath the Giza plateau?

Iamblichus Chalcidensis, or Iamblichus of Apamea a  Syrian Neoplatonist philosopher, and the biographer of Pythagoras wrote about an entranceway through the body of the Sphinx into the Great Pyramid:

“…This entrance, obstructed in our day by sands and rubbish, may still be traced between the forelegs of the crouched colossus. It was formerly closed by a bronze gate whose secret spring could be operated only by the Magi. It was guarded by public respect, and a sort of religious fear maintained its inviolability better than armed protection would have done. In the belly of the Sphinx were cut out galleries leading to the subterranean part of the Great Pyramid.  These galleries were so art-fully crisscrossed along their course to the Pyramid that, in setting forth into the passage without a guide throughout this network, one ceasingly and inevitably returned to the starting point…”

The Giza plateau is well-known for a massive underground system that is composed of both manmade tunnels and chambers, as well as subterranean rivers and passages which have been mapped using ground penetrating radar since 1978.

Several historians have pondered about the size of these underground structures, and what they may represent.

piramide25 03

Some researchers claim that there are chambers beneath Giza larger than our largest cathedrals and that the legendary “City of the Gods”, may, in fact, be a massive structure located beneath the surface.

Further evidence of secret underground passageways can be found in a manuscript currently housed in the British Museum, written by Altelemsani, which details an extensive square underground passage built between the Great Pyramid and the Nile river, with a ‘strange thing’ blocking the Nile entrance.

“In the days of Ahmed Ben Touloun, a party entered the Great Pyramid through the tunnel and found in a side-chamber a goblet of glass of rare color and texture. As they were leaving, they missed one of the party and, upon returning to seek him, he came out to them naked and laughing said, “Do not follow or seek for me”, and then rushed back into the pyramid. His friends perceived that he was enchanted.

Upon learning about strange happenings under the Pyramid, Ahmed Ben Touloun expressed a desire to see the goblet of glass. During the examination, it was filled with water and weighed, then emptied and re-weighed. The historian wrote that it was “found to be of the same weight when empty as when full of water”.”

Beneath Giza

Furthermore, other writers such as Masoudi (10th century) wrote about fascinating ‘mechanical statues with amazing capabilities’ which stood as guards, preventing anyone from entering subterranean chambers located beneath the Great Pyramid.

These ‘robots’ from ancient times were supposedly programmed to destroy all “except those who by their conduct were worthy of admission”.

“…written accounts of Wisdom and acquirements in the different arts and sciences were hidden deep, that they might remain as records for the benefit of those who could afterward comprehend them.”

“…I have seen things that one does not describe for fear of making people doubt one’s intelligence… but still I have seen them…”—Masoudi, 10th century.

Have researchers discovered the remains of Noah’s ark?

Noah’s ark is a mythical, massive-ship, that is said to have ‘saved’ all of the animals on Earth together with Noah’s family, before the great flood destroyed everything on the planet.

If we take a quick peek at history, we will find that ‘Noah’s Ark’ is a story from the Hebrew Bible, which tells how, by order of God (Yahweh or Jehovah), Noah built a boat for to save him, his family, and countless animals who, saved from the great flood, would repopulate the Earth with their offspring.

This story can be found both in the sacred texts of Judeo-Christianity (the Torah and the Old Testament) and in the Koran of the Muslims.

Its origin can be traced back to the Sumerian myth of Ziusudra, and to the eventual contact of the ancient Hebrews with Mesopotamian cultures after the fall of Jerusalem.

Despite the fact that in the past the universal flood was accepted as a historical fact, modern-day scholars remain skeptical regarding its literalness, given the lack of geological evidence for such an event.

However, several biblical scholars continue exploring Mount Ararat, where the Bible says the ark rests.

The Ark
Many ‘Biblical researchers’ believe Noah’s Ark rest on Mount Ararat in Turkey. Image Credit: Shutterstock

Ummm…so, have found the Arc?

A recent discovery could shed light on the sacred texts of the Judeo-Christian tradition, specifically in relation to the Ark of Noah, the ship that according to the biblical story saved all animal species of Earth during the great Flood.

God, angry with the evil of man, told Noah to gather pairs of each of the animal species on Earth and shelter them in an ark where he and his family would survive the days following a massive, planetary flood.

The question—if of course, one considers this story to be real and historical—is evident: what happened to the ark after the Flood?

There are many scientists in the world who have tried to find evidence about it, and there are some who claimed to have found the remains of the ark.

According to Genesis 8:4 the Ark landed on the “mountains of Ararat” on the 150th day of the great flood.

A team of researchers claims to have found the remains of Noah’s Ark on a 90-meter thick glacier on Mount Ararat in Turkey.

According to researchers, they found Noah’s ark after combing through satellite images.

The old wooden structure would now be more than 4,800 years old and inside it, there are countless compartments, which would have served to accommodate each pair of animals.

While many have expressed enthusiastic emotions about the discovery, others prefer to remain cautious, waiting for more evidence to determine whether or not it is the remains of Noah’s Ark.

According to Noah’s Ark Ministries International, a documentary team based in Hong Kong, they’ve recovered wooden pieces from a massive structure which according to initial carbon dating results, dates back around 4,800 years.

The remains of the alleged Ark were found at around 13,000 feet above sea level.

“It’s not 100 percent that it is Noah’s ark, but we think it is 99.9 percent that this is it,” Yeung Wing-Cheung, a filmmaker accompanying the explorers, told The Daily Mail.

“The structure is partitioned into different spaces,” said Noah’s Ark Ministries International team member Man-Fai Yuen in a statement.

“We believe that the wooden structure we entered is the same structure recorded in historical accounts…”

The Ark isn’t on Mount Ararat

According to Dr. Andrew Snelling, in an article for Answersingenesis.org:

“Several teams have continued searching for the real Ark.

“Most of them have focused on Mount Ararat in northeastern Turkey, where eyewitness accounts of a wooden structure have spurred interest for centuries.

“The biblical reference to ‘mountains of Ararat’ as the landing site of the Ark suggests those mountains formed well before the Flood ended.

“The Flood was a global catastrophe that totally reshaped the earth’s geology, and the earth’s surface has continued to change since then.

“Perhaps the geology of the modern Mount Ararat region sheds light on whether we should be looking for Noah’s Ark on that mountain.”
