Mount Shasta is known as one of the most sacred places on Earth and is called by many people the magical mountain. The mountain is located in the Cascade Range in northern California. It rises around the picturesque mountains in the Siskiyou County at an altitude of over 4322 meters above sea level. It is also one of the largest dormant volcanoes.
It is a legendary and mystical place since known history. Locals believe that this mountain is truly magical and there many mysteries and stories that have baffled and delighted, not only the local Native American population but also thousands of people who have visited this magical wonder of nature throughout the years.
Natives have always considered this mountain as a sacred place and in recent decades, it has been connected to a mystical power that emanates peace and harmony. Some believe that Mount Shasta is closely related to mysterious flying objects, and some have ventured out and said that there are secret underground bases located inside this magical mountain.
There have been many objects discovered around it; the objects indicate that the region around Mount Shasta has been inhabited for over 9000 years by several native tribes of North America. It is also a natural boundary that delineates the table territory of native tribes such as the Shasta, Modoc, Wintun, Atsugewi, and Klamath. Some of these tribes believed that Mount Shasta was the center of creation. Native Americans that inhabit the region, still perform rituals in honor of the mountain to attract the spiritual power that it emanates.
Mount Shasta has been identified by many experts as a spiritual and cosmic energy point, a landing area for UFOs, and even an entry point that leads into the fifth dimension, and as access to underground civilizations. In 1884, Frederick S. Oliver, writer, and explorer, wrote a book entitled “A Dweller on Two Planets where he speaks of elaborate underground tunnels and rooms where the descendants of the Atlanteans live.
The mountain is also considered one of the seven sacred mountains of the world, a Buddhist monastery was built there in 1971 by Houn Jiyu-Kennett. It has become a site of meditation, holy temples, and shrines. It is believed to be the focal point of positive energy, a place that would help bring world peace to mankind.
It proved to be a mysterious place when in 1931, a fierce wildfire swept across Mount Shasta. According to locals, the fierce fire was stopped by a mysterious mist that came out of nowhere. The unusual fog created a linear demarcation of the fire, where you could see perfect lines around which the fire was curved in direct correlation with the central zone.
Mount Shasta is also believed to be an energy supply base for Extraterrestrial crafts, given the increasing number of sightings that have been reported in the area in the last decade. The Hopi Indians have legends about a vast network of caves and a great city under Mount Shasta where the reptilian race lives. Many people living around Mount Shasta have told stories about very tall humanoids appearing occasionally in smaller towns.
Mount Shasta is also known for its many mysterious disappearances throughout history. One of the most recent cases occurred in 2011 when a 6-year-old boy disappeared for about 5 hours while playing in the woods. According to witnesses, the boy suddenly vanished from sight in a second and reappeared 5 hours as if nothing had happened.
In March of 2011, a man from Los Angeles who was hiking in the area said to have heard a female voice from the forest. The man was captivated and absorbed by the voice, which led to his disappearance for weeks. When he appeared, he claimed to have been kidnapped by mysterious forces that led him to a very dark cave where an unusually tall woman with blue eyes and a strange uniform rescued him.

The Dighton rock is without a doubt one of the most mysterious findings of the Americas. The rock with mysterious cuneiform-style inscriptions has been the subject of intense debate among researchers and scholars for centuries, yet no one has been able to properly explain its origin nor decipher it. The 40-ton boulder approximately 1.5 meters in height, 2.9 in width and 3.4 meters length was found partially submerged in the Taunton River in Massachusetts.

The mysterious boulder, covered in petroglyphs and intricate ancient designs has been installed in a memorial building near the town of Berkley.
The very first mentions about it can be found in Rev. Cotton Mather’s book “The Wonderful Works of God Commemorated,” published in 1690:
“Among the other Curiosities of New-England, one is that of a mighty Rock, on a perpendicular side whereof by a River, which at High Tide covers part of it, there are very deeply Engraved, no man alive knows How or When about half a score Lines, near Ten Foot Long, and a foot and half broad, filled with strange Characters: which would suggest as odd Thoughts about them that were here before us, as there are odd Shapes in that Elaborate Monument..”
Today there are dozens of theories that try to explain the origin of the enigmatic boulder. According to Ezra Stiles, an American researchers and author the rock was carved by ancient Phoenician explorers while other people claim that the rock carvings were made by Portuguese or even Viking explorers. The truth hoverer, remains a profound mystery.

Among other theories, Count Antoine Court de Gobelin, a French nobleman suggested in 1784 that the Dighton Rock was in fact product of ancient explorers from Carthage who visited the region thousands of years ago.
These are not the only mentions about the mysterious boulder. According to Gavin Menzies, in his book 1421: The Year China Discovered The World, he states tats the intricate designs were made by ancient Chinese sailors who visited the American Continent nearly one hundred years before Columbus.
While neither of the above theories have been properly explained the origins of the mysterious 40-ton boulder, there are those who draw similarities between the Dighton Rock and the 6,000 year old Inga Stone in Brazil. The carvings of the Inga Stone remain a mystery but some symbols have been identified and accepted throughout the archaeological community. Some researchers argue that the Inga Stone has a Phoenician origin, but this theory has not been confirmed. Brazilian researcher Gabriele Baraldi has spent great time in studying the encrypted messages at the Inga stone, according to his theory, the Inga Stone carvings are proof of unknown ancient technology.

A combination of cosmic processes shapes the formation of one of the most common types of planets outside of our solar system, according to a new study led by researchers at Penn State. The research team used data from NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) to study young sub-Neptunes—planets bigger than Earth but smaller than Neptune—that orbit close to their stars. The work provides insights into how these planets might migrate inward or lose their atmosphere during their early stages.
An in-depth technical analysis by the European Southern Observatory (ESO) has evaluated the impact of the INNA megaproject on the facilities at the Paranal Observatory, Chile—and the results are alarming. The analysis reveals that INNA would increase light pollution above the Very Large Telescope (VLT) by at least 35% and by more than 50% above the south site of the Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory (CTAO-South).
Powering spacecraft with solar energy may not seem like a challenge, given how intense the sun’s light can feel on Earth. Spacecraft near the Earth use large solar panels to harness the sun for the electricity needed to run their communications systems and science instruments.
Researchers at the University of Gothenburg have developed a novel Ising machine that utilizes surface acoustic waves as an effective carrier of dense information flow. This approach enables fast, energy-efficient solutions to complex optimization problems, offering a promising alternative to conventional computing methods based on von-Neumann architecture. The findings are published in the journal Communications Physics.

For the first time, scientists have acquired direct evidence of rare, pulsing pear-shaped structures within atomic nuclei of the rare-earth element gadolinium, thanks to new research led by the University of Surrey, the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and the IFIN-HH research institute in Bucharest, Romania.
In their ongoing efforts to push the boundaries of quantum possibilities, physicists in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis have created a new type of “time crystal,” a novel phase of matter that defies common perceptions of motion and time.
The collective motion of bacteria—from stable swirling patterns to chaotic turbulent flows—has intrigued scientists for decades. When a bacterial swarm is confined in small circular space, stable rotating vortices are formed. However, as the radius of this confined space increases, the organized swirling pattern breaks down into a turbulent state.
