A Pennsylvania couple broke away from an alien/reptile, Christianity-based “cult” led by a woman who believed she was the “Daughter of the Most High” and the “granddaughter of King David.”
Days later, Barbara H. Rogers, 43, shot her boyfriend, Steven Mineo, 32, in the head. She claims he asked her to pull the trigger. He was overcome with stress as the followers of the self-described prophet, Sherry Shriner, attacked the couple for leaving the group, according to Rogers.
Shriner believed that reptilian humans, the New World Order, aliens, the elite, the US government, and NATO were working together to end the world. She warned Mineo that his girlfriend was a “Vampire Witch Reptilian Super Soldier” who was trying to kill her and who would harm him. She claimed that she had seen Roger’s reptilian eyes and teeth appear in her pictures, signs she was possessed and had super strength.
“When the demon manifested in her, if it was the demon or a lizard, if she had both, a human’s no match for that kind of supernatural strength,” Shriner said.
A murder trial is underway in Monroe County for Barbara Rogers, a woman accused of shooting her boyfriend. According to investigators, Rogers belonged to an online cult centered on aliens and the end of the world. https://t.co/aUZHM3rxGn
“Rogers reportedly told police that Mineo was upset with members of Shriner’s following, and had asked to be killed. She also told police that Mineo said Shriner was ‘reptilian’ and pretending to be human, according to a police affidavit obtained by the Associated Press.“
In the opening statements of the trial, the prosecution says the night of the shooting, Rogers, and Mineo went to a nearby bar until 2 a.m. She claimed they were not drunk, but later that night they practiced shooting his gun in the woods around their home at his suggestion. Then they went back inside, where Rogers claims Mineo held her hand on a gun as he pointed it at his head. Then she claims he told her to pull the trigger.
In a call to 911 at 2:25 a.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2017, Rogers said:
“My boyfriend had a gun. He told me to hold it here and press the trigger. Oh my God, he’s dead!”

She claimed she didn’t know the gun was loaded and says it was an accident, but the prosecution says it was murder. Rogers could have avoided killing Mineo. He was shot in the forehead at close range, possibly directly against his head, according to court records.
Barbara Rogers arrives at Monroe Co. Courthouse for the first day of her trial. She is accused of shooting and killing her boyfriend, Steven Mineo, back in 2017 at their home near Tobyhanna. Rogers claims Mineo wanted her to kill him because of problems with an online cult @WNEPpic.twitter.com/SmGmYiKGfq
The couple’s falling out with the Sherry Shriner followers began in April 2017, when Shriner noticed a Facebook post by Rogers. In the post, Rogers talked about having a craving for raw meat and steak tartare. Shriner and her followers immediately saw it as a sign that Rogers was not human but a reptilian alien.
“This is the best thing ever with cut up minced garlic,” Rogers wrote. “I just crave raw meat all the time for some reason. I know some are grossed out by it. But its a delicacy for me.”
Shriner said she tried to warn Mineo about his girlfriend, but Mineo was offended. After all, he had purchased “orgone” from Shriner, a superpowered substance she claimed would ward off reptilian humans. If Rogers were a reptile, then surely the orgone would have protected him.
“’Orgone kills them,’ Mineo wrote of the mystical substance that supposedly destroys reptilians. ‘The heavenly father knows that she’s not a reptilian. We’ve been friends for a long time and I always supported you. Out of all due respect, I do take offense to this.’”
The dispute started a rift with the Shriner group, and afterward, Mineo decided he would expose Shriner as a fraud. He uploaded videos to YouTube, in which he claimed: “Sherry Shriner Supporters Are Mentally Sick.” In his final video, four days before his death, Mineo said angry Shriner followers were attacking them.
“I warned Steve Mineo she was a Vampire Witch Reptilian Super Soldier… and now he’s DEAD because he wouldn’t listen.”

According to Rogers, her boyfriend believed it was Shriner who was a reptile.
“The Defendant explained that the cult centers on ‘Aliens and raptures’. Recently they became upset with Shriver. The victim believed that contrary to her appearance, Shriver was actually ‘reptilian’.”
The Daily Beast reported that Mineo was the second person from the cult-like group to be killed at a young age. Five years before Mineo’s death, 22-year-old Kelly Pingilley died after swallowing 30 sleeping pills. Shriner claimed that a “NATO death squad” killed Pingilley because she believed in the god Yahuah.”
Pingilley had given up going to college to work as a transcriber for Shriner’s radio show Aliens in the News. After going on expeditions with Shriner to save the world from the New World Order, Pingilley committed suicide at an isolated wildlife park. Hunters found her body the next morning. She wore a pendant of orgone.
“One week before her death in December 2012, Pingilley said the apocalypse was near. Yahuah had shown her a strange symbol, which foretold invasion by an alien race that would eat and enslave humans, she wrote.”
Pingilley’s brother said he worried his sister may have suffered from undiagnosed schizophrenia. Shriner said that Kelly had been trying to kill her on orders from the Obama White House, but Kelly had refused to carry out orders.
“’Obama is on the march folks if you’re not with him and the Alien New Age you’re against them,’ she warned in the dark eulogy. ‘They have their lists, and they’re going to work on them… Kelly’s death is a wake-up call that they are after Yah’s people.’”
Steve Mineo posted Shriner’s bizarre eulogy to the Truth Seekers Blog on behalf of Sherry Shriner. A few years later he would denounce the group and end up dead himself. Mineo had been a follower of Shriner since 2004.
In January 2018, social media posts suggest that Shriner passed away. Her followers have suggested her death involves conspiracy theories after her work to expose Vice President Pence.
By analyzing the archival data from the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), an international team of astronomers has inspected the outflow of a nearby galaxy known as NGC 1266. Results of the new study, presented Dec. 11 on the arXiv pre-print server, could help us better understand the nature of this galaxy.
A Carnegie-led team of astronomers detected the strongest evidence yet of an atmosphere around a rocky planet beyond our solar system. Their work, published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters, used NASA’s JWST to reveal an alien atmosphere in an unexpected place—an ancient, ultra-hot super-Earth that likely hosts a magma ocean.
As we prepare to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission to the Moon, National Geographic will release documentaries to commemorate the occasion titled, “Apollo: Missions to the Moon.”
“As the world prepares to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first manned lunar landing, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Tom Jennings uses his signature style of first-person storytelling to create an immersive account that spans the breadth and depth of NASA’s Apollo Space Program.”
This will be something to look forward to for sure.

In the meantime, another documentary claiming to be affiliated with National Geographic has been released with a shockingly certain title:
“Aliens Exist On The Moon.”
The video features photographs which it claims were taken by the Apollo astronauts themselves and asks the obvious questions: Why hasn’t NASA returned to the Moon in all these years? What did they find out?
What is hiding on the Dark Side of the Moon? After all these years, we’re only now seeing the pictures taken by the astronauts?
The narrator calmly asks for answers.
“…there are many mysteries about man’s first Lunar landing that remain unsolved. What did the astronauts actually encounter there and what made NASA stop going back to the Moon after Apollo 17? Is there evidence of an alien presence on the Moon and perhaps all around us?”
Looking at photographs, we see gigantic artificial-looking structures that seem to be clear signs of advanced alien life. They have never been shown on television before, the documentary claims.
In one of the photographs, we see an enormous cylinder standing inside a crater-like formation. It’s smooth perfect shape is nothing that could have been created by nature. In another shot, we see an enormous satellite dish, strange vehicle tracks, and objects that glaringly stand out. They are clearly artificial, unnatural in the lunar landscape.
In addition the photographs from NASA’s official archives, we see pictures taken by British videographer, John Lenard Walson. With a homemade telescope, Walson found what looks like a giant perfectly-formed cube on the Moon. Walson has found numerous strange-looking objects, including a fast-moving doughnut-shaped disc.
In addition to focusing on the Moon, there are videos of strange orb-like objects which seem to be harnessing the power of the Sun. We see video taken by the Solar Dynamics Observatory. Instead of a typical solar flare, we see a dark object hovering over the Sun with a long dark pipe-like trail leading into the surface of the corona. Then it quickly moves away abruptly.
“I can’t explain what that is, but I can definitely see why aliens may be interested in taking plasma. A lot of these UFOs seem to be encircled with plasma-type energy,” says paranormal investigator, Joshua P. Warren.
Lee Speigel, author for the Huffington Post, shares insight into what appears to be an alien space station or base found by ordinary means: the Google Moon app. Why was there a perfect triangular object on the surface of the Moon? The perfect spacing appears similar to a pyramid surrounded by light. Critics dismiss it as a digital artifact, but others say it appears to be a constructed installation.
“Is it an installation? We really don’t know other than the fact that it has these angles, has these bright lights, and it really does appear to be man-made in some form at least.”
Object found with the Google Moon app
In another spectacular image, a huge oddly-shaped structure captures imaginations all over the world. The object was discovered shortly after the launch of the Chinese Chang’e 2 Lunar Orbiter on October 1, 2010. Rather than just one structure, it seems to be made up of smaller ones, resembling what could be an entire complex or factory.
“It kind of looks like an aerial photograph of something along the lines of a North Pole installation or outpost,” says Redfern. “Clear angles, right angles, seeming to show something like an intelligently built structure. The question is: What is it? What’s it being used for?”
Strange complex structure on the Moon found in NASA archives
Although the image was thought to come from the Chinese probe, it was then discovered to originate from the NASA archives. There has never been a definite explanation for what the strange group of objects is.
As strange as all of these photographs are, one of the strangest is of the Mare Crisium region of the Moon. Mare Crisium is also known as the “Sea of Crises,” a lunar mare, or dark flat plain 345 miles in diameter. The Apollo Astronauts photographed a bizarre cylinder standing in a dish-shaped bowl, with another protruding tube-like object with a ball on the end jutting out of the landscape nearby.
The NASA photo was partly the basis for a book, “Somebody Else Is On The Moon” by George Leonard. The book was published in 1977.
“George H. Leonard, former NASA scientist, fought through the official veil of secrecy and studied thousands of NASA photographs, spoke candidly with dozens of NASA officials, and listened to hours and hours of astronauts’ tapes. ”
“Not only was this spar jutting out at apparently a 45-degree angle with a ball-appearing object on the very end of it; There have been estimates the structure could be as much as a mile in diameter and width,” says Ecker.
The area also has what has been described as a “castle wall” surrounding it. Speculation abounds about what this could possibly be, from a fortress to a nuclear power plant, to an alien military base.
Ecker goes on to discuss “the smoking gun” of activity on the Moon. The video goes on to encompass a wide variety of strange phenomena and evidence from around the solar system. With so many examples of bizarre and unexplained photographs, is it any wonder it appears that the government seems to have tried to keep any explanation a secret?
Have we finally reached a time when our civilization is ready to hear and accept the answers?
In Brief: Earth’s Atmosphere extends far beyond what was believed until now, according to a recent study by Russian researchers based on scientific observations that remained tucked away in archives for more than 20 years, waiting for the day someone would take a look at them.
Image: Where Earth’s it merges into outer space, there is a cloud of hydrogen atoms called the geocorona. Image Credit: ESA.
Not that we didn’t go to space, or land on the moon, but mankind never actually left Earth’s atmosphere according to a recently published study.
How?
Well, simply put, we’ve just found out that Earth’s atmosphere is actually humongous.
It’s so massive that scientists say it extends beyond our moon.
Thanks to data compiled by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO), Russian scientists have found that the borders of the Earth’s atmosphere spread out a stunning 630,000 kilometers–almost twice the distance to the Moon.
This means that the Moon, the only place outside the earth’s surface is within this limit. In other words, we’ve set foot on the moon but without ever leaving Earth’s atmosphere.
It also shows that between 1996 and 1998 by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO), a group of scientists from the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, headed by Igor Baliukin, managed to establish that the borders of the atmosphere of our planet are, in reality, 630,000 kilometers, a distance equivalent to 50 times the diameter of the Earth.
“The Moon flies through Earth’s atmosphere,” says Baliukin.
“We were not aware of it until we dusted off observations made over two decades ago by the SOHO spacecraft.”
This means that the Moon (which is situated at an average distance of 384,400 kilometers) is not outside its atmosphere, but right in the middle.
In fact, the only natural satellite of our planet orbits within Earth’s that range, as do its many artificial satellites.
SOHO casually obtained the revealing information while it was mapping the geocorona or terrestrial exosphere, the luminous part of the outermost region of its atmosphere formed by a cloud of hydrogen atoms that glow under the influence of ultraviolet radiation.
As noted by the European Space Agency, where it merges into outer space, there is a cloud of hydrogen atoms called the geocorona
However, this layer is very thin and can be observed only from space, so it is very difficult to measure.
In fact, the very first telescope on the Moon, which was placed by Apollo 16 astronauts in 1972, managed to capture an evocative image of the geocorona surrounding Earth and glowing brightly in ultraviolet light.
Quantum spin liquids are exotic states of matter in which spins (i.e., the intrinsic angular momentum of electrons) do not settle into an ordered pattern and continue to fluctuate, even at extremely low temperatures. This state is characterized by high entanglement, a quantum effect that causes particles to become linked so that the state of one affects the others’ states, even over long distances.
Mars is one of the planets in our solar system that humans know most about, and for good reason. The “Red Planet” has been lauded by scientists because of its similarity to Earth. The similarity convinces many that humans may be able to fashion a second home out of it. Especially considering near-apocalyptic warnings about the devastation of climate change, the idea of a possible escape plan seems tantalizing. And nothing has taught us more about Mars than visiting it ourselves … in the form of rovers.
Opportunity (nicknamed “Oppy”) launched July 07, 2003, and from the outset, it wasn’t expected to last long. The original mission length was just 90 Martian days, but the little rover has stayed alive for more than 15 years. NASA is expected to make a big announcement concerning the fate of the rover this Wednesday at 11 am. But first, let’s talk about what makes Mars so special.
The Red Planet
According to Universe Today, it’s impossible to know when Mars was “discovered.” People have observed it for over 4,000 years, since it is bright enough to be seen by the naked eye. You don’t need a telescope or even binoculars. In Roman mythology, it is the god of war, borrowed from the Greek god Ares. And ancient Mesopotamian texts refer to Mars as “the “star of judgment for the fate of the dead.”

However, Nicolaus Copernicus is credited with a wholesale shift in science in 1543. Because of his published findings, astronomers seriously considered that the Earth might not be the center of the solar system. And that was the beginning of discovering Mars as a planet.
Later down the line, Galileo Galilei was the first person to see Mars via telescope in 1610. Dutch astronomer Christiaan Huygens was first to draw a map of Mars that displayed terrain features in 1659.
He also observed light and dark spots on the surfaces of Mars and Jupiter, and thought it to be evidence of water and ice (we now know that he was very correct about that).
According to NASA, Opportunity scored a “hole-in-one” by landing in a crater where it found hematite, a mineral that usually forms in water. However, the water was acidic, and therefore made it more difficult for life to thrive.
Reddish Tint
Mars is known for its reddish tint, and according to Space.com, there’s a good reason for that:
“The simple explanation for the Red Planet’s color is that its regolith, or surface material, contains lots of iron oxide — the same compound that gives blood and rust their hue.”
However, the more complex answer is that during the formation of the planet, iron, a heavy element, would have naturally gravitated toward’s the planet’s core. But given Mars’s small size (and therefore weaker gravity) much of it would also stay up top, mixed with gas and dust. As it was exposed to oxygen, it would gain its famous reddish color. So if you wind the clock back a couple 4.5 billion years, you might see a more charcoal color.
Water
Water is the signature feature we look for in a potentially habitable planet is water. And no planet gives us hope for water like Mars.
PBS Nova explains that scientists used radar from orbital spacecraft to penetrate Mars’s polar ice caps with electromagnetic waves. These waves provide a reading, and every material reflects back with varying brightness. Knowing what water looks like on radar, scientists believe they found it underneath those ice caps — a mile beneath Mars’s surface. High salt content can keep the water liquid even at -90 degrees Fahrenheit, and NASA’s research suggests Mars once had more water than the Earth’s Arctic Ocean.
The presence of water is the linchpin in three main questions about Mars:
Could we live there?
Did something else live there?
Does something else live there?
And questions like that are exactly what the Mars rovers were sent to the planet to explore.

The Mars Exploration program began in 1993. The program was spearheaded by NASA with the intent to explore as much of Mars as possible. Specifically, the mission was the investigate Mars’ habitability. To accomplish this, they’ve used orbital spacecraft, landers, and of course, the lovable rovers.
How Opportunity survived this long is something of a mystery, with a combination of luck and engineering genius. Opportunity’s twin, Spirit, got caught in a sand trap in 2009 and couldn’t recharge its batteries, putting it out of commission. But Opportunity has traveled more than 28 miles in its time on Mars. However, scientists argue that the important thing is not how long it lasted, but what it did with its time.
In an oddly emotional Twitter thread, science reporter Jacob Margolis laid out the last moments of the rover’s life. The team had lost communication with Opportunity since June 2018, and hadn’t received word since. NASA says that since the loss of signal, over 835 recovery commands have been radiated to Opportunity.
The last message they received was basically, ‘My battery is low and it’s getting dark.’ — Jacob Margolis
In its life, Opportunity was responsible for taking more than 217,594 raw images of Mars. According to Margolis, it shares credit with all the rovers for expanding our understanding of water on Mars, and of environments that could be hospitable to life.
With Opportunity and Spirit gone, that leaves only Curiosity to explore the Red Planet. Launched in 2012, its design will serve as a basis for a planned Mars 2020 rover. However, it might be wiser to base your design on a rover that outperformed your expectations nearly 60 times over.
Cheers to Oppy, and may its mission lead to many more explorations of our vast cosmos.

Altermagnets are a newly recognized class of antiferromagnets whose magnetic structure behaves very differently from what is found in conventional systems. In conventional antiferromagnets, the sublattices are linked by simple inversion or translation, resulting in spin-degenerate electronic bands. In altermagnets, however, they are connected by unconventional symmetries such as rotations or screw axes. This shift in symmetry breaks the spin degeneracy, allowing for spin-polarized electron currents even in the absence of net magnetization.
The Exclusion Zone at Chernobyl covers an area of approximately 2,600 km2 (1,000 sq mi) immediately surrounding the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant where radioactive contamination from nuclear fallout is highest and public access and inhabitation are restricted.
Despite that, life has found a way.
A new study has found that Wildlife is proliferating in abundance in the area that has been off limits since the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear accident.
As explained by James Beasley, associate professor at the Savannah River Ecology Laboratoryand the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, scientists spotted ten mammal species and five species of birds during their one-month photo-hunting session at Chernobyl.
“These animals were photographed while scavenging fish carcasses placed on the shoreline of rivers and canals in the CEZ,” he said.
“We’ve seen evidence of a diversity of wildlife in the CEZ through our previous research, but this is the first time that we’ve seen white-tailed eagles, American mink and river otter on our cameras.”
The previous evidence Beasley was referring to come from a 2015 study that showed how wildlife—including Gray Wolves—exist in abundance in the exclusion zone.
The results of the new study were published in the journal Food Webs, and provide ample evidence how aquatic nutrient resources can flow to terrestrial landscapes where they become available to both terrestrial and semiaquatic wildlife in the region, like otter and mink, explains UGA.
Lead researcher Peter Schlichting said in a statement that previous studies have reported that waste collection activity can connect several food webs, but scientists do not fully understand how this happens.
In the current study, fish tanks were placed on the edge of the open water in the Pripyat River and in nearby irrigation canals, mimicking the natural activity that occurs when streams transport dead fish carcasses to the coast, according to Schlichting, who is now an associate of postdoctoral research at Arizona State University.
Surprisingly, the results of the study have shown that 98% of fish placed by experts were consumed in a week by a multitude of scavengers from the region.
“This is a high rate of scavenging, and given that all our carcasses were consumed by terrestrial or semi-aquatic species, it verifies that the movement of nutritional resources between aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems occurs more frequently than often recognized, ” Beasley explained.
“We tend to think of fish and other aquatic animals as staying in the aquatic ecosystem. This research shows us that if a reasonable proportion of dead fish make it to shore, there is an entire group of terrestrial and semi-aquatic species that transfer those aquatic nutrients to the terrestrial landscape. “
