In June, a public UAP report on\u00a0unidentified aerial phenomena<\/a>\u00a0is due as requested by the Senate Intelligence Committee. However, multiple current and former government officials say military and spy agencies are \u201cblocking or simply ignoring the effort,\u201d reported\u00a0POLITICO.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sen. Marco Rubio<\/a>\u00a0requested the UAP report, which is required to provide \u201ca detailed description\u201d of all unidentified aerial phenomena reporting for the federal government, \u201cregardless of which service or agency acquired the information.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWe have things flying over our military bases and places where we\u2019re conducting military exercises. We don\u2019t know what it is and it isn\u2019t ours,\u201d Rubio told CBS\u00a0last July.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Nevertheless, it seems the report will likely be incomplete, delayed, and\u00a0highly redacted,<\/a>\u00a0similar to a recent CIA document dump.<\/p>\n

Now, the Biden administration may decide to delay the report due to all the roadblocks.<\/p>\n

Public Perception of a Coverup<\/h2>\n

In all likelihood, delaying the forthcoming report would only strengthen the public\u2019s perception of a coverup.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAny delay in delivering it is likely to be perceived by a large segment of the public as an attempt by the government to hide what it knows,\u201d reported Bryan Bender.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Such perception would be entirely logical, given the long history of coverups, such as the decades of secret multimillion-dollar\u00a0UFO study programs.<\/a><\/p>\n

Also, recent public statements by Trump\u2019s former Director of National Intelligence (DNI)\u00a0John Ratcliffe\u00a0<\/a>make it clear there may be much more to cover up than we know.<\/p>\n

For example, Ratcliffe said, \u201cthere are a lot more sightings\u201d than the public is aware of.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Ratcliffe explained that U.S. military craft and satellites picked up aircraft moving with unknown technology, even breaking the sound barrier\u00a0without a sonic boom.<\/a><\/p>\n

Public Disclosure in the UAP Report?<\/h2>\n

Despite Rubio\u2019s request, it\u2019s plain that the Pentagon maintains the position that protecting national security takes precedence over public disclosure.<\/p>\n

Thus, the Air Force deferred reporters\u2019 questions to the Office of the Secretary of Defense. Then, Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough responded without addressing criticism:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cTo protect our people, maintain operational security and safeguard intelligence methods, we do not publicly discuss the details of the UAP observations, the task force, or investigations,\u201d said Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

From this statement, we can assume any report would redact UAP details.<\/p>\n

Taking it Seriously<\/h2>\n

Already, Rubio has asked fellow lawmakers to take the report seriously on 60 Minutes.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI want us to take it seriously and have a process to take it seriously,\u201d Rubio said on the show.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Further, Rubio acknowledged a stigma about the subject.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a stigma on Capitol Hill,\u201d Rubio said. \u201cI mean, some of my colleagues are very interested in this topic and some kinda, you know, giggle when you bring it up. But I don\u2019t think we can allow the stigma to keep us from having an answer to a very fundamental question.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now, consider that some in Congress may giggle at the mere mention of UFOs and that the report will almost certainly be incomplete. As for us, we gave up a long time ago on seeing many in Congress take issues seriously.<\/p>\n

Former Pentagon Intelligence, Christopher Mellon<\/h2>\n

According to former deputy assistant secretary of defense for intelligence Christopher Mellon, the Air Force has denied access to information. Also, a Navy-led Pentagon task force set up last August has few personnel or resources to gather any evidence.<\/p>\n

Further, government bureaucracies are stymying the efforts, as one would expect.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI know that the task force has been denied access to pertinent information by the Air Force and they have been stiff-armed by them,\u201d Mellon said in an interview. \u201cThat is disappointing but not unexpected.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

On the other hand, Mellon notes that, in contrast, the \u201ctide is turning against the illogical stigma\u201d preventing objective UAP study.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Former AATIP Leader Lue Elizondo<\/h2>\n

Whistleblower and\u00a0former AATIP leader\u00a0<\/a>Luis \u201cLue\u201d Elizondo, who now works with Mellon and other former high-level officials at\u00a0To The Stars Academy of Arts and Sciences<\/a>, says delaying the June UAP report might be the best outcome.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Instead, an interim report using more time and resources would serve the public better.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWe can do this right or we can do it right now,\u201d Elizondo said. \u201cIt\u2019s certainly not sufficient time to provide a comprehensive, government-wide report that Congress not only expects, but that Congress deserves and frankly, so does the American people,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Recently, Elizondo tweeted that he\u00a0does not think<\/a>\u00a0the recent sightings could be attributed only to drones.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cDrones? In some cases, most certainly yes. In other cases, absolutely not. It is for this precise reason why we need a well-funded and enduring capability to collect, analyze and determine the exact nature of these things. It is here, it is real, and it is now,\u201d he tweeted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u00a0In a 60 Minutes interview, Elizondo says that while the government has confirmed the UFOs are real, it has also been covering up the truth.<\/p>\n

Decades of Stigma and Secrecy<\/h2>\n

Even as decades of\u00a0stigma and ridicule<\/a>\u00a0are giving way to mainstream UFO acceptance, it\u2019s clear that full disclosure at this time would be extremely unlikely.<\/p>\n

Already, we can see that the June UAP report will withhold much from the public. As Mellon said, even getting government agencies to agree on the language used will prove challenging.<\/p>\n

\n

\u00a0\u201cIn addition to the onerous job of trying to get everyone to come clean,\u201d Mellon said, \u201cthere will be a sensitive and probably difficult process of getting all the players \u2026 to agree on the language and approve it. That process alone could take weeks or months.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Therefore, we can all plan to continue searching for the truth after the UAP report comes out. In all likelihood, the prevailing attitudes of stigma and secrecy will not just vanish like a UFO.<\/p>\n

Public Interest Only Growing<\/h2>\n

On the other hand, now that the government has disclosed that UFOs are authentic, interest is only going to grow from there.\u00a0As public interest grows, we could be more likely to see the disclosure about UFO origins.<\/p>\n

Perhaps, one day, we\u2019ll even learn about extraterrestrials?<\/p>\n

For those interested, Mellon recommended the new \u201cexplosive documentary,\u201d called\u00a0The Phenomenon.<\/em><\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI can\u2019t think of a better way for people to begin educating themselves on the\u00a0#UAP<\/a>\u00a0issue. The film provides a badly needed remedy for the unwarranted stigma that has prevented government & academia from taking this important topic seriously,\u201d\u00a0he tweeted.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The film touts itself as \u201cthe most credible film ever made about the global mystery involving unidentified aerial phenomenon.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the documentary trailer, Mellon states, \u201cWe need to accept that we are not alone in the universe.\u201d<\/p>\n
